It really works too slow down the guzzling the food down. Better for the dog's digestion and gives him or her a fun challenge. The so-called non-skid base however could be improved a lot!!. It didn't work on a wood floor, so I added a silicone mat underneath to keep it from sliding all over the floor when the dog ate.

I bought this for my 3-year-old, 70 lb female Pitbull. She tends to gulp her food. This product has slowed down her eating. It took her a couple tries to figure out how to get her kibble, and she was initially unhappy about it. But after she received her food a couple of times this way, she has adjusted and eats her food just fine.

This bowl is awesome. My 100 lb Dobermann would scarf his entire bowl of food in less than 3 minutes, which caused me to worry about bloat, choking, and other health issues. This bowl definitely slows him down by a good 10 minutes and really reduces the anxiety of feeding him. It is also mental stimulating for him to work out getting his food out of the bowl. We got another for our min pin too. Definitely recommend.

Even though she is definitely NOT starving, my dog gobbles her food as if she were! To the point she will often throw it up, UGH! The design of the bowl has slowed down her eating considerably & after using it for a month, I'm happy to say she is no longer experiencing an upset tummy after meals. Plus, she hasn't thrown up her breakfast or dinner since we started using it. I am so pleased! I absolutely recommend this product!

Love this bowl and so does my fat girl. She used to eat her meals in 40 seconds, and now she's up to about 4 minutes. She still manages to gulp some air and usually has a massive belch afterwards, but it is what it is. She is cute.

I used to wait and hold my breath after my little Yorkie-shaped vacuum would inhale her food. It would go down in 3 seconds and back up onto my carpet in 2. I tried so many tactics, like literally separating the kibble from the wet food by distributing on a large pan. For her to inhale, that would normally take roughly 5 seconds. After our last regurgitation session, I threw up my hands and ordered the slow feeder. We haven't had ONE instance of throwing up since. At first, she was suspicious and wanted no parts of this new contraption. She finally submitted because she's GREEDY!

My dog inhales his food. He already has another design of this maze bowl, but I wanted a backup. This design is even better, forces him to slow down since layers are so deep. I can smear Greek yogurt and honey deep around the circular areas, and it allows him to really enjoy the treat at least a minute or two longer.

I bought this for my dog to help slow her down when she eats. Previously, she would inhale her food and then end up gagging afterwards because she ate so fast. This not only slows her down, but she really has to work at it, and I can tell she enjoys making sure every corner is cleaned of food. She used to continue licking her food bowl because she ate so fast. Now, when she's done and has seen there's nothing left, she'll walk away. No more gagging after she eats - just a happy pup with a full belly!

Was hesitant to buy given not many reviews for French bulldogs or dogs with flat faces, but after getting this, I can say it works just fine. Our dog has gone from spending 5 seconds eating all his food like a vacuum to around a minute or two to eat it all. So much better, and he's able to get all the pieces of food out. He has constant stomach issues and tends to vomit a ton because he eats so fast, and he is ALWAYS acting as if he's starving even after he's eaten. Will see if this helps as far as him feeling satiated enough after eating, but so far for the last couple of days it's been. A huge improvement. He takes more time with his food and has no issues reaching any of it. Can say that this bowl is good for use with French bulldogs and maybe other dogs with short snouts
